SLEGO University
Privacy Notice
PRIVACY NOTICE | Operated by SLEGO Industries LLC. Effective date: October 20, 2026.
This document is published in English, and the English version applies.
SLEGO Industries LLC ("SLEGO," "we," "us," or "our") operates SLEGO University, an online business education, learning-resource and membership platform at slegouniversity.com (the "Platform"). The Platform also includes the SLEGO Forum, a Discourse-powered member community that will be activated according to the announced rollout schedule. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information when you visit the Platform, create an account, join a membership, participate in learning activities or use the SLEGO Forum.
SLEGO Industries LLC determines the purposes of most processing of personal information on SLEGO University. Technology providers help us operate the Platform under their applicable agreements. Some providers may also process limited information for their own legally permitted purposes. This Notice describes SLEGO’s practices; links to a provider’s own policy do not replace it.
1. Information we collect
Account and professional details. Your name, email address, username or profile information, company, job title, region or language preferences, and information you choose to provide. Your organization may supply your name and work email if it purchases or assigns a membership on your behalf.
Membership, billing and customer support. Membership plan, seat assignment, trial status, purchase and renewal history, invoices or transaction identifiers, and correspondence with our team. Payment-card details are handled by our payment provider rather than entered into SLEGO University records, subject to how checkout is implemented.
Learning and participation records. Course enrollment, lesson access and progress, quiz or knowledge-check responses, completion dates, certificates, resources accessed and related activity needed to provide the service.
Community information. When you use the SLEGO Forum, we process profile details, posts, replies, reactions, messages, moderator reports and other participation information. Other participants may see profile and discussion contributions according to the audience and access settings for each forum area.
Technical information. Approximate location derived from IP address, browser/device type, cookies or similar identifiers, diagnostic logs, pages and video-player interactions, and information used for security, reliability and troubleshooting.
2. How we use personal information
- Create and secure accounts; authenticate users; manage free trials, memberships, team seats and payments.
- Deliver courses, translated materials, knowledge checks, certificates and learning resources.
- Run discussions, moderate conduct, respond to reports, and protect participants and the Platform.
- Send essential operational messages, such as login codes, receipts, access changes, account notices, course updates and support responses.
- Send optional news, event invitations or promotional communications, subject to applicable law and your unsubscribe or consent choices.
- Understand product use, improve the learning experience, prevent fraud and technical abuse, and meet legal and accounting requirements.
3. Sign-in and the SLEGO Forum (DiscourseConnect)
SLEGO University uses member password sign-in and/or email-code authentication for its member accounts. SLEGO Forum uses DiscourseConnect single sign-on (SSO) so eligible members use their SLEGO University identity to access the Discourse-powered community. The integration transfers account information needed to create or synchronize forum access, which may include a user identifier, display name, username, email address, profile picture, and permitted membership/group attributes. The final data fields will be verified against the deployed configuration before Forum activation. DiscourseConnect does not require a SLEGO University password to be sent to Discourse.
Discourse provides the technology for the SLEGO Forum, while SLEGO Industries LLC establishes the member-facing privacy commitments and controls community access policies. Profile details and posts may be visible to other members according to forum permissions. Authorized SLEGO administrators may need access to moderation records or messages as permitted by applicable law and forum settings. Previously shared or deleted content may persist in authorized records or backups for the applicable retention period. Members should not post confidential company information, trade secrets or sensitive personal information in discussion areas without proper authorization.
4. Service providers and disclosures
We share personal information with providers only where reasonably needed to operate and protect the Platform, perform transactions, fulfill instructions, comply with law or support other purposes described in this Notice. Depending on the feature used, these may include:
- Supabase: account, authentication and database infrastructure.
- Stripe: payments, subscription transactions and related fraud prevention.
- Resend: transactional or other permitted email delivery.
- Vimeo: video hosting and playback, including videos embedded on Platform pages.
- Vercel: website hosting, delivery and associated technical services.
- Discourse: SLEGO Forum hosting and services, including DiscourseConnect SSO integration when the Forum opens.
Each provider handles information under its own contractual and privacy arrangements. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement or parties involved in a business reorganization when legally appropriate. We do not authorize providers to sell learning records or use them for unrelated advertising on our behalf. Any advertising technology or cross-site tracking must be separately reviewed and disclosed before activation.
5. Memberships purchased by organizations
For organization-funded memberships, an authorized Team Administrator may view the organization's total seats purchased, seats assigned and seats available; member assignments and eligible member profile details; membership and enrollment status; lesson/course progress and completion reports; knowledge-check or quiz results; certificates; and discussions or related activity in SLEGO Forum areas the administrator is authorized to access. An administrator does not receive unrestricted access to private messages or discussion areas solely because the organization pays for the membership. Access is subject to the Platform's permissions, the organization's agreement and applicable law.
Enterprise arrangements. An Enterprise customer may have a separately signed Enterprise Agreement and data-processing agreement addressing organization member information, administrative access, service delivery, security, confidentiality, and other contractual data-handling obligations. Where contractual terms conflict, those signed agreements control between SLEGO Industries LLC and the Enterprise customer for the services they cover, to the extent permitted by law. This Privacy Notice remains a description of personal-information practices and does not remove or diminish any non-waivable privacy rights of individual members. Additional regional or Enterprise privacy notices will be provided where required.
6. Cookies, analytics and embedded content
We and our providers may use essential cookies, session technologies, security logs and similar tools to operate sign-in, membership management, site performance and embedded videos. Optional analytics or advertising cookies, if used, will be disclosed and controlled as required by applicable law. Embedded Vimeo content and other third-party components may cause those providers to receive browser or device information. Browser controls may help manage cookies, but blocking essential technologies may prevent portions of the Platform from functioning.
7. Communications and marketing choices
We send messages needed to deliver memberships and respond to requests. Optional marketing emails include an unsubscribe method where required. To make a privacy or communications request, contact membership@slegoindustries.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary billing, sign-in, security or account messages.
8. Retention and deletion
Our standard data-retention and deletion period for records eligible for deletion is 7 days. After information becomes eligible for removal under our account-closure or verified-request process, we generally delete or de-identify it within 7 days. Some information may need to be retained longer to satisfy tax or accounting law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, verify certificates or meet other legal obligations. Secure backups may follow separate deletion cycles. We respond to valid privacy requests within the time required by applicable law, which may be sooner than the general retention cycle. Content already seen or copied by other forum participants may not be recoverable from those recipients.
9. Security
We use administrative, contractual and technical safeguards proportionate to the information and risks involved, such as access controls, authentication, encrypted transmission where supported and service-provider controls. No internet-based service can guarantee perfect security. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or an account issue.
10. International users and data transfers
SLEGO University is an internationally accessible online learning and business resource platform operated by SLEGO Industries LLC in the United States. The Platform offers materials in seven primary languages and is available to eligible users around the world where lawful and technically available. Global availability does not mean SLEGO Industries LLC maintains an office or legal establishment in every country where someone can access the Platform. Personal information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers or their approved subprocessors operate. These locations may have different privacy protections. Where applicable law requires safeguards for transfers across borders, SLEGO Industries LLC will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and provide the required information about transfers and member rights. For additional information about applicable transfer protections, you may contact membership@slegoindustries.com.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction or deletion of personal information; receive a portable copy of certain information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or appeal an applicable privacy decision. Email membership@slegoindustries.com to exercise a privacy right. We may verify your identity and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.
For residents of locations requiring disclosures about legal bases for processing, our grounds may include performance of a contract (account and course delivery), compliance with legal obligations (tax and billing records), legitimate interests (security, service improvement and moderation), and consent where required (certain marketing or optional tracking). The applicable ground depends on the specific activity.
12. Children
SLEGO University is designed for business education and adult professional participants and is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly solicit accounts from minors. Please contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this Notice as features, providers and legal requirements change. We will display the updated effective date and provide any additional notice required by law. Material changes to how we handle member information will be communicated as appropriate.
